Why I Ride: Bikes, Business, and Brotherhood

When you see me on a bicycle, you might assume it’s just a ride for fitness or leisure. But for me, cycling is far more than movement — it’s my meditation, my strategy session, my reset button, and my source of brotherhood. It’s where ideas are born, relationships are forged, and purpose is fueled.

The Ride is the Ritual

Cycling gives me the mental clarity and stamina I need to lead. Every early morning, as the city slowly wakes up, I’m already on the move — pushing pedals and pushing thoughts. It’s in these silent rides where my greatest business decisions are refined.

Cycling sharpens my focus. The rhythm of the ride clears the noise, letting my thoughts rise to the surface. I don’t ride to escape life — I ride to meet it head-on, with clarity and purpose.

Birth of Cycle Africa Bikes

Out of this passion, Cycle Africa Bikes was born — not just as a company, but as a movement. I saw how many people in African cities and rural areas struggled with mobility — and how bicycles could be a game-changer in transport, economy, and even healthcare.

A bike is more than a machine — it’s a tool of transformation. A tool that can help a child get to school, a mother reach the hospital, or a small-scale trader connect with customers.

Cycle Africa Bikes exists to empower Africans through affordable, reliable, and sustainable mobility solutions.

Brotherhood on the Road

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that no one makes it alone. That’s why I cherish the brotherhood built through cycling. It’s a space of encouragement, resilience, and camaraderie. On group rides, we push each other, wait for the slowest, and celebrate milestones together.

This cycling brotherhood has introduced me to mentors, partners, and lifelong friends. It reflects what I believe in business: growth through community.

Beyond the Bike

I ride for clarity. I ride for creativity. I ride for community.

My rides are a metaphor for life — there will be uphill battles, sharp turns, and unexpected obstacles. But if you keep moving, if you trust the process, you’ll always find your rhythm again.

And that’s why I’ll never stop riding.
